Pagoda Avalokitesvara which is
located in the Watu Gong (Ungaran direction of Semarang), right in front of
this Diponegoro Military Command Headquarters, was recorded as the tallest
pagoda in Indonesia as high as 45 meters. Pagoda was inaugurated in 2006 and
has seven levels, more and more small upward. This pagoda currently do not have
a ladder to climb up so it can not be climbed.
At each level laid
Goddess Kwan Im statue known as the Goddess of Mercy. In front of the pagoda
was statue of Kwan Im smiling welcome. Therefore, many also call this a pagoda
pagoda Kwan Im.
Right inside the
pagoda there is a statue of Bodhisattva Avalokiteswara. In front of the statue
is usually visitors do Tjiam Shi. A ritual to determine the fate of mankind.

Before climbing the
stairs towards the pagoda, we could see the statue of Gautama Siddhartha sat
under the Bodhi tree. The tree with the Latin name Ficus religiosa is also
grown in the area Borobudur. Bodhi tree was planted in 1955 by Narada
Mahathera.
